Natural Shadow<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Creating natural shadow is actually hard!! Using lighting techniques needs your great efforts to put a natural look and in such cases, post-editing can achieve the right appearance. Haven\u2019t used Photoshop before? No worries, let\u2019s use it today to create natural shadow<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0Open the jewelry image on which shadow needs to be created. It will automatically create a layer when you open it in Photoshop. Next, create a new layer and fill it with a white background so as to mask the jewelry image from the background. Don\u2019t forget about refining the edges for a smooth changeover.<\/li>\n
  2. Now select some area at the bottom of the jewelry image as it will look the darkest. Refine the edges carefully if you want to create a soft and curved layer. Darken it to make it look like a dark oval at the bottom of the jewelry.<\/li>\n
  3. Choose a talk bubble around that space and refine the selection to be very soft. To match your tiny shadow, make a curve layer and darken it.<\/li>\n
  4. \u00a0To make a smooth gradient from dark to black, it would be good if you brush out the adjustment parts. And lastly to make it look more real, get your hands on opaqueness.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Reflection Shadow<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    To make the images look appealing and catching to the eyes of people, use reflection shadow. It gives an appearance of a mirror-like reflection to the product. Let\u2019s try adding this shadow:<\/p>\n

    2. \u00a0Create a duplicate layer of jewelry layer and transform it vertically so as to make it look like a mirrored image to the original one. Keep it below the product to let it match the bottom.<\/li>\n
    3. Next, to the reflection layer, you need to add a faded gradient mask to give an illusion as if it\u2019s fading. Then you have to make it a little blur to keep the effect natural and less sharp.<\/li>\n
    4. Here you go!! Now your jewelry will look more realistic than before. You can also add a tiny shadow at the bottom by using feathered curves as it will make it feel grounded.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Drop Shadow<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      Last on my list is drop shadow<\/a><\/strong>. It is my favorite method as I don\u2019t have to do many adjustments. Let\u2019s try:<\/p>\n

      2. Create a duplicate layer of the product layer and select the product. Add grey color in this selection.<\/li>\n
      3. To make the shadow look dramatic, blur this layer.<\/li>\n
      4. Now you need to add a mask to the shadow layer. And then the top portion of both the top and bottom of the product. It will add a shadow on only some parts that will make the product look realistic.<\/li>\n
      5. You achieved it right!!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
